BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (AP) — Hurricane Ian may be long gone from Florida, but the job of restoring power and searching for anyone still inside flooded or damaged homes pressed on Tuesday.
The number of storm-related deaths has risen in recent days because of the dangers posed by cleaning up and as search and rescue crews comb through some of in the hardest-hit areas of Florida. Her amateur golfing days in college saw her named winner of the Honda Sports Award for golf. She won this prize as a junior at Wake Forest University.
As a senior, she managed to win the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur in 2019 and the NCAA Division I Golf Championship in 2018.
